Helen is a coach and organisational consultant, with public and voluntary sector board level experience, who works alongside individuals, teams and organisations to explore creative and different ways of approaching working life challenges. She is module lead for Consulting and Leading in Practice on the Tavistock Masters programme ‘Consulting and leading in organisations: psychodynamic and systemic approaches’.

With over twenty years experience of leading a human rights charity, Helen has extensive experience of operating in complex political and legal milieu to bring about lasting changes to policy and practice alongside running a service advising people at times of extreme distress.

Helen is also a senior lecturer at Birmingham University on the NHS Leadership Academy ‘Elizabeth Garrett Anderson’ programme and is currently studying for a Doctorate in ‘Consultation and the Organisation’, focusing on organisational learning and the challenges for leaders in the aftermath of serious incidents.
