Tavistock Consulting celebrates 25 years

On Friday 29th November, we will be hosting a full-day conference to mark our first quarter of a century acting as a specialist Organisational Consultancy within the Tavistock and Portman Clinic, to explore our beginnings, our experiences since and our work today.

Since its founding in 1994, Tavistock Consulting has worked successfully for our clients by considering the individual in the system and the system in the individual, in depth. Working across boundaries and ‘below the surface’ of organisational life, we help leaders, teams and organisations to make sense of ‘what-is-really-going-on’.

Whether it’s running reflective practice groups for clinicians, developing the board of a charity or working one to one with executives in a global manufacturer, our consultants help clients to engage with and solve often complex organisational challenges. Our aim is to enhance self-awareness, effectiveness, and the ability to navigate and influence the complex landscape of contemporary organisational systems.

What has changed for us, for our work and for organisational life in that time? Which familiar challenges remain and what new factors are we contending with as organisational consultants within the Tavistock tradition?

The day will be a mix of case presentations, panel discussion and forays into our conceptual landscape, with chances for wider conversations throughout and rounding off with a keynote presentation from TC’s Founding Director, Jon Stokes.

The formal part of the day will run from 9:30am till 5:00pm, ending in the evening with a drinks reception and an opportunity to catch up and connect with other delegates, and reflect on the themes from the day.

This event will be of particular interest to those using the systems-psychodynamic model as part of their coaching or consulting practice and anyone working more generally with groups and organisations.

Tickets are £30 per person and numbers are limited so book early to secure a place.
