Angela Bagum is an Art Psychotherapist and Mental Health Nurse by professional background. Alongside her Organisational Consultancy role at Tavistock Consulting, she is also Head of Digital and Short Course Portfolio at the Tavistock and Portman.

Her experience spans over 20 years in the NHS. She has worked across Adult Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services inclusive of Addictions Division, Sexual Abuse Trauma, Early Years and Forensic Services. Working in partnership with the Criminal Justice System, Social Care, Education and Charities through a multi-agency approach, she helped establish the Liaison and Diversion service in Camden, writing an article for RCNi on the importance of maintaining professional identity in role when an autonomous practitioner. She has gone on to hold roles such as Head of Nursing for Children, Young People and Families and was Senior lecturer on the Nursing Degree programme at Roehampton University. She has been a visiting lecturer at the Tavistock and Portman creating digital short courses utilising third wave CBT of Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy to support individuals within organisations going through workplace change.

The experience of working across different systems alongside her clinical trainings have taught her a lot about the functioning of groups within organisations, sitting with the uncertainty as well as recognising the impact of the work itself, on team functioning. Interest around disability, race, sexuality, and gender has further supported her understanding of difference as well as power and authority within groups.
