Our approach
Our work begins with an engagement phase, including an initial discussion with the sponsor(s) and the team to discuss the outcome and design for the away day. These meetings take the form of a focus group to ascertain the desired outcome for the away day from all the participants. Where participants are unable to attend, an away day questionnaire will be circulated and reviewed by the consultants.
We will use the understanding gathered during the engagement and diagnostic phase to design and facilitate the away day. This is likely to include a combination of dialogue, experiential learning and output planning as appropriate.

While the exact design and aims of the away day will be agreed with the sponsor(s), our initial focus on delivery will be:
- To facilitate an away day that allows everyone to be involved and to co-create content that enables team members to interact with each other
- To consider how the team works together, and understands the primary task of the service
- Your experience of the work in the here and now, and how you interact with your stakeholders
- What you, as a team, consider to be the most important issues facing the service both internally and externally
After the away day, the lead consultant will review the away day with the sponsor(s) to provide overall feedback and to plan for any follow-on development.
